JEREJAK RAINFOREST RESORT & SPA - PART 3

the night life in the island is quite dull on our 1st nite, but on the 2nd nite which is the saturday nite was rather fun..

but before that i want comment about the food in the restraunt, i dont know abt other people. On the breakfast menu, they served dishes like nasi lemak but the sambal had no taste. at least kalo sambal to ok, sedap sikit pastu ada la rendang,hotdog, the usual bread & butter. lucky that i am not a heavy breakfast person, to me bread & butter are already fine. move on to the dinner, we had a BBQ dinner on saturday nite but the menu of the food on the buffet was not appealing at all, i had a mee soup..also not that fantastic. byk songeh sungguh..but that is my comment not urs.. :-0

back to the night activity, after dinner we were presented with a fire dance performance by the resort staff, seronok juga..they were about four of them doing fire & flame - siap ngan costume & groovy music..best jugak.. time ni tak da la dia ajak the hotel guest to partcipate.. they were awesome, sempat amik gambar..

and shortly after that performance end, they started to perform a poco-poco dancing... to make the atmosphere more fun they invited the guest to join the poco-poco dancing... termasuk ler saya.. walaupun..berulang kali ckp tak pernah dance but the staff insist everybody to join.. they do the step and we follow.. memang sekejap ada yg dah terror.. i was trying my best to go along with the rest..it lasted for maybe 30 minutes..at that point i was sweating & feeling very athletic, so that is why poco-poco a very good exercise huh, it really makes ur heart beat goes realllly fastttt...the steps look hard but once u are on the groove, it was fantastic.. maybe i shud try it with frens back in KL..

ok..after doing all that we lounging around the lobby area before going back to room for the nite.

next morning we did not go for breakfast pun..minum breakfast nescafe. little boy had his milo and later off to the pool with hubby, myself just stay at the chalet packing ..by 12.15PM we check out from the resort and the ferry leaves the island by 12.30PM..

all in all.. to me it was fun & nice staying.. sesuai ngan budget & our short time plan..we will come back says hubby..

JEREJAK RAINFOREST RESORT & SPA - PART 2

jerejak ada sejarah tersendiri.. bila baca tentang sejarah pulau jerejak..seram juga.. jerejak was a prison for most wanted criminal..lama jugak Pusat Pemulihan Akhlak Jerejak (aka prison) from 60s to 90s.. however the resort is build on the other side of the island..

ada cerita kat dinding tu..masa baca tu lepas dinner..malam..seram plak..

the resort are surrounded with natural beauty - sesuai untuk camping or adventure activity like jungle tracking. But our main activity were mostly at the pool area :-)


after breakfast --apalagi swimming pool activity bermula..

the resort has 2 swimming pool area, the main pool situated at the restaurant area, very olympic style pool,closeby to our 1st nite room. the other pool situated at the SPA chalet.. smaller but has 2 level..upper level for children and lower level for adult..

the 1st day -- main pool activity.. best tak da orang..huhu..ada la group of student from International School Penang, tapi they all ada class activity in the hall, so the pool is free just for the 3 of us..


bermula..debussshhhh..we are started to get into swimming pool and of coz little boy had a blast

JEREJAK RAINFOREST RESORT & SPA - PART 1

our trip to Penang starts with our stay in Jerejak Rainforest Resort & Spa Penang.

be wary of this resort price rate if you make a reservation via their website & phone booking. very confusing at first as they have different rate between weekend & public holiday. sebabnya dlm internet price is RM170 for standard room with breakfast (no dinner) when i called the booking officer inform the rate is RM188 with breakfast & dinner, i was thingking...that's a good offer, however since that weekend is a public holiday the price has gone up to RM258 but in the website tak mention lak..

i think on certain cases you might want to make the booking via their website.. like us as we are going to be a late check-in. we do not need the dinner..so 1 nite booking via website & another nite via phone booking.. aduhhh letih membuat perhitungan harga bilik ni..better kan dari rasa tertipu ngan harga bilik yg tak menepati apa yang kita nak..

kami gerak dari KL pukul 4PM on Friday, 29/01 perjalanan mengambil masa 4 jam - we only make one stopover at R&R Sg Perak for 10 mins sebelum sambung perjalanan dan reach Penang at 8.00PM, our ferry service leave at 8.30PM...sempattt..

sampai Jerejak Island at 9.00PM, after check in we headed straight to the room... ye lah dah penat gila ..hari tu kerja pastu direct keluar outstation --walaupun bukan saya yang memandu..penat juga..

lagi satu..a cross over from the mainland to jerejak island via their own ferry service takes 30minutes which is to me teramat-amat slow nak mamphooos..walaupun pulau hanya beberapa jarak..bleh nampak from the mainland..maybe the resort should upgrade their ferry to a smaller & faster boat :-( betul.. memang slow..bayangkan ½ jam ..

the jetty situated nearby to Queensbay Mall.. about 1km before the mall..

the room..for 1st nite -- 29/01/10 (standard room)

very large bathroom.. ntah apa-apa aje buat bathroom besar2.. separate lak tu shower & toilet basin..kat tengah2 sinki tuh..

since the hotel have different type of room, we decided to change room for the 2nd nite.. the room rate will be RM288 still incld breakfast & dinner (price different of RM30)??

tapi bilik JAUH BEZA ..

have a look the 2nd nite room - 30/01/10 (Chalet)

what i m trying to say.. the Chalet room looks better then standard room even harga nya tak byk bezaaa.. lagi selesa..cantik ..sejuk mata memandang.. if you have plans to visit this resort i recommend to take this room - on weekend/weekday/non-public holiday the rates are lower..
