TIOMAN ISLAND - 2nd Day 3/07/2009

2nd day - after breakfast.. get ready for sunny activities.. FYI, island hopping & snokelling is expensive here in tioman (RM350 for 1 boat) we tried to nego but still expensive.. so we skip that and spent time at the pool & the beach..

the pool is huge and little boy had fantastic time with his pistol water and at the slide with his new pelampung..the pool has two slides to make it more fun.. one for small children the other one also for children and adult.. he tried both..

and by 10.00am we head for the beach and i'm not fair-skinned (kulit melayu--sawo matang)but i still need sunscreen, the risk of sun burn and long term skin damage is verryyyyyyyyyyy high.. ni bab menjaga kecantikan "wink* .. so SPF is very important if you're swimming or playing at the beach area.. (apply sunscreen 20 minutes before hitting the beach)..

men usually dont care about their appearance but that does not mean they can go ahead without sunblock.. mesti hitem legem balik nanti kan.. so husbie and little boy also apply the SPF ..little boy especially as he is expose to sun more then us..

i remember reading in the magazine that to avoid the sun between 11AM to 3PM..which known as SOLAR NOON.. that is when the sun is at its highest point in the sky.. so by 12.30PM we went back to our room to rest and have lunch.. before return to the beach after 3PM..

TIOMAN ISLAND - 1st Day 2/07/2009

The adventure starts when we leave home on Thursday, 2/07/09 at 4AM (so that we can reach Mersing & catch the ferry by 10.30AM)

BY CAR - you take highway to BANGI-SEREMBAN-MELAKA-exit at AYER ITAM - KLUANG the road leads to Kluang is very zig zagging and if you cannot take the ride better go by air to Tioman. I pitty little boy, lucky that he wasn't moody on the road and fell to sleep after complaining of drowsy .. and I almost throw out ..

When we arrived at Mersing there's no proper signage to the jetty & human factor make it more displeased as people do not que to go on board.. just potong line.. the freaking ferry (bluewater express) DOES NOT DEPART ON TIME -- when it says 10.30am it is only ready to board by 11.00AM and really sailing by 11.30 AM. The ferry pick up travellers at a few stops before reaching TEKEK where Berjaya resort is located. we reached tekek by 1.30PM check in by 2.00PM.. had lunch & take a nap.. guess what time we woke up..7PM... wat a waste of ½day activity..the travelling time on the road & on the ferry.. IT DRAINS OUT MOST OF OUR TIME & ENERGY..

My experience in Tioman Island, to me Tioman is relatively undevelop island, there are almost no road at Tekek except at the Jetty area and a few kilometers to Berjaya resort. Surprisingly Tioman is a DUTY FREE ZONE, means items like cigarette & alcohol is cheap here but the interior and exterior decor of the duty free shop doesn't look so intimidating or inviting to spurlge plus selection of items are very limited.. I bought a cow boy hat for RM28 (of which in KL can cost RM50++) and a batik sarong for RM15.. ok la.. husband bought 1 pack of Dunhill cigarettes..

1st nite we had dinner at nearby restaurant .. and we later hang out at the beach..before heading back to room for good nite rest..

its hard to get into "work" mode when we're only dreaming of the blue skies...the cyrstal clear water ..the white sands.. seriously.. my mind is already in tioman island now..

3. LAZYING AT THE SWIMMING POOL

4. LAZYING AT THE BEACH... PLAY SAND CASTLE WITH MY LITTE BOY

5. SNAPPING SHOTS>> of MOI ..sape lagi kan..

6. SCUBA DIVING ..maybe ... a trial one.. maybe.. see if i am able to handle the situation..

7. SPA.. not sure if i can accommodate this.. but will see..

8. ISLAND ROUNDING - LOOK OUT for nice cozy challet for future trip..

9. There are other things to do..i m sure...jut can't type it right here...

and hopefully to have save trip going and coming back..INSYALLAH..
